Active Healthy Aging – AHA 2015


As the proportion of the elderly in the world´s population continues to increase a global discussion about „Active Healthy Aging“ is crucial in addressing the health, economic, industrial and social challenges created by this shift. Age-related illnesses and problems continue to place a major burden on health care systems, social, and financial systems. The Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg, the German Center for Neurodegenerative Diseases Magdeburg, and the Magdeburg City Congress Office have planned this international conference to find common solutions for the future. The topics of the conference are: "60 is the new 40“ and the meaning of active aging in the 21st Century; Preserving cognitive functions; Nutritional interventions to promote healthy aging; The potentiating effects of physical and cognitive activity; The valuable 50+ employee: optimizing wellness, health, and experience; Prevention of age-related diseases. Maintaining independence through assistive technology systemAn industrial exhibition will introduce and demonstrate products designed for the aging population.

20th Annual ECSS Congress


The congress theme is Sustainable Sport which will be highlighted through the scientific programme and the general organization of the congress. As multidisciplinary congress the target group contains sport and exercise as well as sport medicine scientists around the world. The ECSS aims to support the career development of young upcoming scientists and with this in mind a young investigators award is organized every year within the framework of the annual congress. The ECSS YIA is very prestigious award in the field of sport science.

7th Asia-Pacific Congress on Sports Technology


The 7th Asia-Pacific Congress on Sports Technology aims to connect East and West, industry and academia, practitioners and researchers, to a greater extent than any previous conference in this series.
The congress actively engages with the broader sporting industry through site visits and specialist workshops. This is a major international event in the field of sports technology, organised bi-annually in collaboration with partner’s worldwide and leading organisations in this field. The congress has been held in Australia, Japan, Singapore, USA and Hong Kong over the last decade and in 2015 heads for the first time to Europe in Barcelona.

14th European Congress of Sport Psychology


The Congresses of the European Federation of Sport Psychology FEPSAC have a tradition dating back to 1968 and attempt to cover all areas of psychology related to sport, play, exercise, motor behaviour, and physical activity. This year, the Congress will be held in the Swiss capital Bern from 14 to 19 July 2015. The overall Congress theme "Sport Psychology: Theories and Applications for Performance, Health and Humanity" will cover a wide range of topics and intends to be a meeting place of both academics and practitioners in the field of sport and sport psychology.

XIII ENSSEE Forum


The main goal of the  2015 Forum of the European Network of Sport Science, Education & Employment is  to bring together experts from higher education institutions, sport and physical activity trainers, and related specialists and stakeholders, to discuss about a new educational and training approach in sport professions, based on learning outcomes and competencies, targeting trainees at different qualification levels, fostering partnership between education or training providers and  the stakeholders, in search of the best match between the needs of the job market and the qualifications offered.
The ENSSEE Forum will coincide with the European Week of Sport(EwoS),recently announced by the European Commission, to be launched for the first time in 2015.
