SCOPE
In the last decade there was a wealth of technological developments that imposed remarkable changes in performance analysis research and practice. The advent of such technologies radically challenged the practices of scientists and practitioners involved in professional soccer. Current challenges on this topic include i) how to maximize the technological potential into meaningful and effective information, ii) how can new technologies enhance the way we analyze and interpret data, and iii) how can we use technology to enhance player recruitment and development.
The 2nd Edition of this Symposium will join both researchers and practitioners from professional soccer showing how technology is being integrated and is changing the current practices in performance analysis field.
We invite submissions from all over the world covering wide-range topics on performance analysis in soccer, especially (but not limited to) related to the current challenges that technology is placing to science and applied performance analysis in soccer.
Invited presentations
"Analysing playing styles in soccer through multidimensional data visualisation"
Hector Ruiz - Prozone Performance.Lab
"Capturing the dynamics of players passing vision"

"Representative design and performance analysis in soccer"
Bruno Travassos – University of Beira Interior, Portugal
